Numerical Modelling of the Light Source
Pavelka, Adam ; Koňas,, Petr (referee) ; Kadlec, Radim (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with photometry units used in light engineering. There are defined the methods of modelling the illumination systems, their advantages, disadvantages and possibilities of using. Furthermore, the thesis deals with modelling of two illumination systems by ray-tracing in programming environment of MATLAB. The master’s thesis describes the analysis of the problem and the program designing process. Acquired model results are then compared with the real measurements of both illumination systems which allow the discussion of the results and the deviations of the models.
The lighting map in GIS
Nejedlý, Lukáš ; Potočňák, Tomáš (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the lighting of roads and public areas. The work is divided into two parts. First part is focused on the basic terms of lighting technology, measurement methodology and appropriate hygiene standards. The paper also discussed electric light sources used in public lighting and basic information on the geographic information system ArcGIS, which was used during the processing of the measured values. The second part is focused on the measurement of illuminance in Žďár nad Sázavou and graphical analysis of the measured values in ArcView GIS. The measured values of the illumination were compared with hygenic limits standard ČSN 13 201.
Lighting system reconstruction in the Sokol hall
Kattauer, Jakub ; Štěpánek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the problems of illumination of interior space, especially in object in Moravský Písek. The thesis is divided into two parts, where the first part deals in general with the basic quantities and terms which are used in illumination systems. Further, it is about general properties of lights and about general terms of illumination of interiors. The second part is only practical character. At the beginning, there is used manual measurement and modelling to evaluate initial state in program Relux. The measurement is not met in terms of standards. Thanks to the municipal council of Moravský Písek a new lighting system is created, which fully respects the valid normative regulations. Installation of control system of lighting is integrated to proposal, which would result in lower consumption, greater user comfort and greater versatility in the possible use of the object. In the end, there is financial evaluation of illuminating system and comparison classical with led technology.
Near-field photometry
Kutý, Tomáš ; Baxant, Petr (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the theoretical and practical introduction to the verification procedures used today for obtaining luminosity curves of lamps. The introduction acquaints readers with the photometric variables. Consequently, it is theoretically described procedure for constructing luminance curves by zonal flow and further familiarization with the near-field photometry. For the practical part was chosen several lights. These lamps were measured by luxmeter first from a very close photometric distance from lights, and then from large distance. The next step was to obtain pictures of luminaries in planes C 0 to 345 ° (with a step of 15 °) of the angle gamma from 0 to 180 ° (in steps of 5 °). The measured data were processed by zonal flow and through programs LumiDISP and Matlab. The partial result of this thesis is to verify whether it is possible to use the luminance analyzer for obtaining luminosity curves, it means, if the luminosity curve obtained through luminance analyzer will comply with the curves obtained through a luxmeter. Further work should ascertain the feasibility of acquired photographs lamps from a very close photometric distance could create luminosity curve for any location and distance from the observer to measured lamps.
Design of lighting system in high school
Borůvka, Jan ; Štěpánek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
The theoretical part is focused on lights, notions and calculations in the area of light technology, basic lightning sources and lamps. This work is also about the principle of lightning measuring. The main aim of the work is design of a new artificial lightning system in a High school agriculture in Prerov. At first, the control measuring of existing lightning was done which is mentioned in this work. From the results of control measuring is clear, that existing lighting system in classroom does not suit requirements, which are mentioned in the valid technical norm. Design of a new lightning system meets the requirements in all of the rooms in the building of school. Design of lightning system was done in two variants. The first variant uses lamps with fluorescent tube light sources. The second variant uses lamps with LED light sources. Also is here evaluated financial difficulty of possible installation and comparation of each variants with respect energetic difficulty.
Luminaire position influence on measured parameters in integrating sphere.
Vlček, Pavel ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Motyčka, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the position of luminaires with narrow radiation characteristics when measured in the integrating sphere. The basic light technical parameters are summarized here. Especially, luminous flux, illuminance, solid angle, luminous intesity and luminance, followed by colour temperature and general colour rendering index. This thesis also deals with the measuring instruments, at first with the basic element, which is the photoelement and then with the following instruments: the illuminance meter, the luminance meter, the spectroradiometer, the goniophotometer and the integrating sphere. The thesis is summarization of the basic information about luminaires. This theory is followed by a laboratory measurement that deals with the measurement of luminaires on a goniophotometer and in the integrating sphere. Goniophotometer measurements are important in conditions of acquire accurate luminous flux. The luminous flux from the goniophotometer is compared with the single measured values in the set positions when measured in the integrating sphere. As a result, the position of the luminaire in the integrating sphere is influenced
Design of public lighting for the improvement of road safety
Krejčí, Miroslav ; Fojtášek, Jan (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
This paper is focused on quality assessment of public lighting systems. These systems are compared to the standard requirements of road lighting rules. Inconvenient systems are redesign with help of lighting design software DIALux in order to fulfill these rules. Part of this paper is dedicated to other issues like pedestrian crossings, color effect and economy.
Map of terrain lighting in GIS
Blatný, Michal ; Rychtárik, Milan (referee) ; Čížek, Martin (advisor)

Measurement of illuminance distribution on roadways using the luminance analyser LDA
Cudrák, Martin ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Motyčka, Martin (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with the possibility of measuring road illuminance using the LDA luminance analyser and LumiDISP software. The theoretical part describes luminous quantities, optical properties of selected materials, especially road materials – asphalt, and normative requirements for road lighting. In the practical part, the production of measuring samples is implemented for subsequent field measurements. A series of laboratory and field measurements are carried out in the following section. Based on these measurements, the measurement method and the measurement procedure have been determined and refined. The aim of the master's thesis is to determine the measurement method, the measurement procedure and to quantify the accuracy of the illuminance measurement method using the luminance analyser LDA.
